Accessory/Ancillary Products

Accessory Description
System
Powerware Battery Cabinets Battery cabinets feature a wide range of available battery sizes, optimized to meet application run time needs. Multiple cabinets may be daisy-chained together for extended battery runtimes.
Powerware UPS Batteries Powerware Three-phase Replacement Batteries combine outstanding performance and quality at competitive pricing. High power density (watts/cell) provides more runtime in the same footprint and maintains runtimes even after discharges.
Maintenance Bypass Modules (MBM) This line and match enclosed cabinet provides continuous support for critical loads up to 300kVA during servicing or testing of the UPS module.
Maintenance Bypass Panels (MBP) The maintenance bypass panel (MBP) is a separately mounted enclosure that provides an alternate electrical path for continuous support of the critical load when servicing or testing the UPS module.
Powerware Sync Control Powerware Sync Control features the ability to maintain synchronization of the UPS system's output to a fixed source allowing for uninterrupted transfers between input sources with a static transfer switch.
Powerware Hot Sync® Redundant Parallel Tie Cabinet Powerware Hot Sync® Redundant Parallel Tie Cabinet allows either UPS to be isolated from the input to perform service while supported critical applications are powered by the other UPS.
Powerware System Bypass Module The Powerware System Bypass Module (SBM) provides bypass capability for UPS systems up to 2000 amp capacity.
Powerware PowerHandler Plus The Powerware PowerHandler Plus Switchboard System Bypass Module was designed specifically for the Powerware 9315 family of UPS. It allows up to eight modules to operate in parallel, up to 4000 amps.
Remote Emergency Power Off (REPO) In an emergency, use this switch to turn off the UPS output. The REPO switch de-energizes the critical load and powers down the UPS immediately, without asking for verification. The UPS, including Bypass, remains off until manually restarted.
External Battery Disconnect For customers with installations that require locating the battery system remotely from the UPS.
Flywheel Solutions Whenever maximum productivity and system availability is critical, Powerware offers a battery-free energy flywheel storage system that bridges the power gap – acting as a backup power or battery backup source during power quality or utility disturbances and acts as an effective UPS battery enhancement, battery backup system, or UPS battery replacement for traditional systems.
Power Distribution
Powerware Type I static transfer switch (STS) by Cyberex Powerware Type I STS are high-speed open-transaction switches that can transfer electrical loads from one AC power source to another in a fraction of a single electrical cycle. The Powerware Type I STS uses modular, cost-effective SCRs, and is fused for protection during a fault. When a downstream fault occurs, the fast-acting semiconductor fuse will open, protecting the SCRs from rupture.
Powerware Type II static transfer switch (STS) by Cyberex The Powerware Type II STS eliminates the chance of a loss of power to critical loads by properly coordinating with the electrical distribution system. During a fault condition, the Type II STS will continue to conduct current, allowing downstream circuit breakers to work selectively.
Powerware Zero Footprint Integrated STS/PDU by Cyberex The Powerware Zero Footprint Integrated STS/PDU System combines the power protection of a static transfer switch with a power distribution unit into one space-saving unit to minimize floor space requirements without compromising system availability. In fact, the Powerware Zero Footprint STS/PDU is the size of just the PDUs in a typical STS/PDU configuration - a savings of more than 40%.
Powerware Power Distribution Module (PDM) Easily expandable as power needs change expands distribution capacity from 84 to up to 252 circuit breaker pole positions. Featuring a main circuit breaker complete with shunt trip mechanism, an electrostatically shielded, high isolation transformer, and
Powerware Remote Power Panel (RPP) Allows electrical expansion without the need for costly electrical re-work. Fed by the existing UPS or distribution module, the RPP expands distribution capacity up to an additional 168 pole positions.
Powerware Surge Suppression (TVSS) Designed to improve the availability of your complex network systems. Powerware TVSS equipment provides an added level of protection for both electrical and data communication lines, plus telephone line protection for a complete, integrated power protection solution.
Communications
PowerVision™ PowerVision is Windows-based client/server software application that provides monitoring, alarm notification and data analysis for multiple Powerware UPSs within an enterprise network.
FORESEER® FORESEER is the ultimate solution to proactively monitor and manage foundation equipment from any manufacturer. This is a custom solution tailor specifically to each customers needs and installed by highly trained integration team.
Remote Monitor Panel (RMP) Allows a customer to monitor the operational status of the UPS system from virtually any location within a facility. The RMP utilizes simple backlit status indicators and an alarm horn that notifies customers of changes in the operational status of the UPS system. This option can be installed in multiple locations throughout a customer 's facility and in parallel configurations can monitor both the UPS and the SBM.
Expansion Chassis Three-slot peripheral device that expands communication capability for a UPS through its support for X-slot cards.
ModBus Card Interface your UPS with your building maintenance monitoring system.
ConnectUPS SNMP/Web Card Monitor your UPS over the network using the web or SNMP.
Relay Interface Module The relay interface module (RIM) provides multiple computer shutdown and remote contact capabilities, utilizing Form-C contact closures to support multiple critical loads.
