MAYOR OFFICIALLY OPENS NEW ‘EATON DEVELOPMENT CENTRE’ IN CHRISTCHURCH

CHRISTCHURCH, NEW ZEALAND ... Globally diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation (NYSE:ETN) is opening its new and futuristically styled building, the ‘Eaton Development Centre’. The Christchurch Mayor Mr Garry Moore will open it officially from 2:15pm on Saturday, June 10th on Princess Street Riccarton. Also attending will be Chris Pickrill of the Canterbury Development Corporation (CDC), Eaton staff ,their families and other special guests.

Eaton’s Christchurch office is the world headquarters for the Telecommunications Solutions Division (TSD) of Eaton Corporation and is the centre for Eaton’s high-tech Direct Current (DC) products design, sales and marketing that employs over 120 staff. Eaton Corporation as a whole is a major player globally that has DC product operations in Australia, United Kingdom, Brazil, India and China and it is in excellent health. Last year, in spite of a year of consolidation in its New Zealand TSD operation, it had sales of US$11.1 billion.

The new Christchurch building is the most recent addition to a spate of new developments in the area and underlies the Telecommunications Solution Division New Zealand operations growing business success in providing high quality DC power product and service solutions to telecoms companies globally.
