Sola to Powerware Product Consolidation

Through research & development, acquisitions, mergers and industry growth, Eaton has created the most comprehensive uninterruptible power systems (UPS) offering to help you reach the level of protection you need.

During the Sola Australia acquisition some four years ago, we merged operations in Australia. At that time we decided that both UPS brands would ultimately be called Powerware.

Over the past four years we’ve consolidated our operations and products. Recognising the strength of the Sola brand in Australia - it was stronger here than in the rest of the world - we have merged the brands slowly, discreetly.

Now, to provide our customers with additional benefits, the Sola brand will be finally discontinued from March 31st 2004 and we will consolidate our UPS brands under the Powerware brand name. The consolidated branding system unifies the company under a single brand worldwide and establishes one corporate identity for the manufacture of uninterruptible power systems and software.

However while the name might be gone, the quality and innovation go on. For some time the Powerware and Sola products have been the same, just differently badged, so the change is purely in perception.

For all our loyal Sola customers this consolidation means you have access to the most comprehensive UPS line in the world, along with more power protection solutions such as Surge Filters, Power Conditioners and Lightning Protection.
